Fire
Damages and losses caused to your car due to an accidental fire.
Private Car/4-Wheeler Vehicles on road are very prone to accidents. These accidents can cause loss to your own vehicle, loss of life or injury to driver and passengers, and financial burden of Third party legal liability. Vehicle Insurance provides financial indemnification against the physical damage to the own vehicle, Third party legal liability, and bodily injury to driver and passengers resulting from an accident. We issued the first policy on 1st December 1993.
An insurance policy for a car/4-wheeler (cars, SUVs, jeeps, and vans) offers financial protection to car owners against losses and damages arising from accidents, theft, or any other unforeseen events. Depending on the type of policy, the insurance provides coverage for personal injury, damage to vehicle, medical expenses, incurred by the owner, driver, or passengers involved in a car accident.
1. Legal requirement: If you are a motor vehicle owner or manager, as per Nepal’s Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act, 2049 (1993), it is mandatory for you to have a third-party liability insurance. It is illegal to drive your vehicle on public roads in Nepal without such an insurance and you may face fines, penalties, and/or legal consequences.
2. Protection against financial losses: A car/4-wheeler insurance protects you against incurring significant financial losses that may arise in case of accidents, theft, fire, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. For instance, in case of an accident, the insurance will cover the cost of repairs or replacement of your car, medical expenses in case of bodily injuries to the drive and/or passengers, and third-party legal liabilities.
3. Sense of security: When you have a car insurance, you are at peace knowing that your insurance will protect you against unexpected events that could cause damage to your vehicle or physical harm to you and other people on the road.
